Desired Qualifications:

• Experience working as a paraprofessional or in a school setting preferred
• Comfortable assisting students with special needs and those requiring life skills support
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with students, staff, and families
• Collaborative approach and positive attitude in dynamic environments
• Basic understanding of behavior management and adaptive strategies is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide daily support to students in a life skills classroom, including academic, social, and functional tasks
• Assist the lead teacher in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Support students in activities of daily living to promote independence
• Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment
• Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to reinforce instructional and behavioral goals
• Track student progress and communicate observations to the educational team
