Cath Lab Technologist in Morton, IL

An opportunity is available for an experienced professional specializing in Imaging with a focus on Cath Lab technology. This contract position offers a dynamic environment supporting crucial cardiac procedures alongside a skilled clinical team.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Proven experience working as a Cath Lab Tech in a busy imaging setting
• Proficiency with cardiac catheterization lab equipment and relevant imaging technology
• Registration or certification in Radiologic Technology or equivalent required
• Knowledge of sterile techniques, radiation safety, and procedural protocols
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with nurses and physicians
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; ACLS preferred

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and operate imaging and Cath Lab equipment during diagnostic and interventional procedures
• Assist cardiovascular physicians during procedures, including monitoring patients vital signs and condition
• Ensure accurate imaging, handling, and documentation of all films or digital data
• Maintain a sterile environment, ensuring compliance with all safety protocols
• Prepare patients for procedures and provide clear explanations to minimize anxiety
• Oversee inventory and maintenance of Cath Lab supplies and equipment
• Support emergency response in the lab as needed
• Maintain timely and accurate patient records
