Job Summary:

The Manager, DTC Ecommerce & Social Commerce leads the day to day commercial execution and optimization of the direct to consumer ecommerce business, with an initial focus on Proactiv and potential other assigned brands. This hands-on leader owns website merchandising, promotional execution, CRM and retention programs, and the launch and ongoing management of TikTok Shop. Reporting to the Director of DTC & E-Commerce and managing one direct report, the Manager partners closely with Paid Media, Brand, Creative, Analytics, Technology and Operations to drive revenue growth, customer experience, retention and profitable performance.

Responsibilities:

DTC Website, Merchandising & Commercial Execution

Own daily website merchandising and operational readiness, including navigation, product and collection pages, landing pages, banners, content updates and promotional placements.
Own the integrated DTC promotional and content calendar, coordinating offers, product launches, seasonal campaigns and site updates from planning through quality assurance and execution.
Partner with Technology, Operations and external vendors to resolve site issues, improve functionality and maintain accurate product information and customer experiences.
Identify and execute conversion rate optimization opportunities through customer journey analysis, testing and merchandising improvements.
CRM, Retention & Subscription Growth
Lead lifecycle marketing strategy and execution across email, SMS and other relevant owned channels, including onboarding, nurture, cross-sell, upsell, replenishment and win back programs.
Use customer insights, segmentation and testing to improve repeat purchase, customer lifetime value, subscription engagement and retention.
Oversee campaign briefs, creative and copy coordination, audience selection, deployment, measurement and continuous optimization.
Monitor CRM health and operational KPIs including deliverability, opt-outs, churn and list quality; manage marketing technology and agency relationships.

Performance, Planning & Cross-Functional Partnership

Monitor DTC sales, traffic, conversion, average order value, repeat purchase, subscription retention and profitability; turn insights into prioritized actions.
Support the Director of Ecommerce with forecasting, promotional planning, business reviews, reporting and growth recommendations.
Partner closely with the separately managed Paid Media team to align acquisition plans, landing pages, offers, campaign calendars and post-acquisition retention efforts; media buying and media budget ownership remain with that team.
Coordinate agencies, vendors and internal stakeholders to deliver projects on time, on budget and to quality standards.

TikTok Shop & Social Commerce

Lead cross-functional launch of TikTok Shop, including storefront setup, catalog and inventory integration, fulfillment readiness, operating processes and launch milestones.
Own ongoing TikTok Shop commercial operations, assortment, merchandising, promotional calendar, sales reporting and channel optimization.
Coordinate with Brand, Social, Creative, Paid Media and external partners on creator/affiliate activation, shoppable content and promotional campaigns; clarify ownership of content production and advertising.
Track channel revenue, conversion, returns, fees and contribution economics; recommend actions to scale sustainable growth.

People Leadership

Manage, coach and develop one direct report; establish clear priorities, accountability, development goals and an effective balance of delegated and hands-on execution.
Create repeatable workflows, documentation and reporting to support continuity and scalable operations.

Education and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience; 5+ years in DTC ecommerce, digital commerce or related consumer brand roles.
Demonstrated ownership of ecommerce site operations, merchandising, promotional execution and commercial performance.
Strong working knowledge of CRM/lifecycle marketing, customer segmentation, retention and ecommerce KPIs.
Experience managing at least one direct report or demonstrated people leadership capability; able to operate hands-on in a lean team.
Strong analytical, project-management and cross-functional communication skills; experience working with agencies and technology partners.
Experience launching or operating TikTok Shop or another social commerce channel.
Experience in subscription ecommerce and beauty, skincare, wellness or consumer products.
Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud or comparable CRM platforms; familiarity with ecommerce analytics, experimentation and site platforms.
Travel between Hawthorne and Princeton sites required, as defined by business needs.

The presently-anticipated base compensation pay range for this position is $104,000 to $127,000. Actual base compensation may vary based on a number of factors, including but not limited to geographical location and experience. In addition, this position is part of the Annual Performance Bonus Plan. Employees are eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs which include medical, dental and vision coverage; life insurance; disability insurance; 401(k) savings plan; flexible spending accounts; and the employee assistance program. Employees also receive various paid time off benefits, including vacation time and sick time.
