Construction Laborer

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Tasks and Responsibilities Assemble per home design and per appropriate building code requirements Assemble in a neat professional manner Operate drills, saws, hand, power and air tools in a safe manner Decks Department Layout floor assemblies Cut lumber to length Fabricate and assemble floor panels Install LVT flooring Partitions & Sidewalls Department Layout wall assemblies Cut lumber to length Fabricate and assemble wall panels Plumbing Department Layout the locations of kitchen, bath and laundry fixtures Cut, glue, secure drainage and water piping/fittings Install toilets, bath tub/shower, sinks, dishwasher, laundry water lines and drains Roof Jig Department Layout roof assemblies Cut lumber to length Fabricate and assemble roof Install blown-in cellulose insulation Drywall Department Apply drywall material to interior and exterior walls Apply joint tape and compound to sheet seams, walls, ceiling and inside corners Apply finish of splatter coat, primer and paint Electrical Department Install electrical systems and components lighting, wiring, transformers, outlets, circuit breakers, etc. Identify electrical problems with a variety of testing devices Siding Department Install house wrap Install windows, exterior doors, vinyl/LP siding Install soffit and fascia Roofing Department Install roof sheathing and felt Install asphalt shingles Trim Department Install interior window, door casing and base trim Install laminate flooring Cabinet Department Install kitchen and bathroom cabinets Install ceramic tile Install laminate flooring Final Finish Department Putty nail holes Locate ship loose items Clean Close up mod with plastic Insulation Department Install poly vapor barrier Install fiberglass batting to exterior walls ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Competencies Able to work in a team environment Detail oriented Dexterity Math skills Physical strength Problem solving skills Strong working knowledge of job safety as well as ability to complete safety orientation High standard of integrity and professionalism Must be able to follow verbal and written directives Preferred Education and Experience Experience working in residential home construction Experience working in commercial construction ***** APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS: Apply In Person: 212501 State Highway 97 Stratford, WI 54484 Mail a Rsum: PO BOX 37 Stratford, WI 54484 E-Mail a Rsum: hr@stratfordhomes.com Apply Online: www.stratfordhomes.com
