The objective is to make selected first-line operational data accessible, validated, and usable for proactive second-line risk monitoring.
Required Skills
- Advanced SQL and hands-on Snowflake development.
- Snowflake data-sharing implementation and role-based access control.
- AD security groups, enterprise identity/access provisioning and Snowflake integration.
- Exploratory data discovery, profiling and requirements analysis.
- Relational data modeling, cross-schema integration, dataset grain and join cardinality.
- Data quality testing, reconciliation and source-to-target mapping.
- Data lineage, technical data contracts and sharing documentation.
- Coordination with business owners, data stewards and access administrators.
- Git-based version control and technical handover.
Preferred Experience
- Insurance or financial-services operational data.
- Delivery within a governed enterprise environment.
Job Responsibilities
Data Discovery and Definition
- Work with FLOD owners to identify relevant sources and understand existing usage.
- Confirm definitions, ownership and permitted use for selected risk-monitoring use cases.
Curated Dataset Development
- Build Snowflake views that integrate tables across databases and schemas.
- Document transformations, lineage and business definitions.
Data Sharing Implementation
- Establish the approved sharing arrangement.
- Prepare technical data contracts and sharing documentation.
- Coordinate required business, governance and access approvals.
Group-Based Access Management
- Define and create the required AD security groups through approved enterprise processes.
- Coordinate provisioning and Snowflake role mapping.
- Document group owners, membership approvals and permissions.
- Apply least-privilege access to approved datasets.
Pilot Validation
- Reconcile datasets to source records.
- Test data quality and refresh behavior.
- Verify authorized access, restricted access and access removal.
Demonstration and Handover
- Deliver repeatable risk-monitoring queries.
- Provide version-controlled SQL and validation tests.
- Deliver a support runbook covering ownership, limitations and next-stage requirements.
Project Deliverables
Authorized SLOD users must be able to access approved FLOD datasets through group-based permissions and run reproducible monitoring queries.
Data reconciliations, access tests, approvals, definitions, refresh expectations and support ownership must be documented.
The contractor will coordinate implementation end to end, with business owners approving data use and enterprise administrators performing privileged actions where required.
Out of Scope: Broad modernization, enterprise-wide remediation and full production rollout beyond the pilot.
