Cyber Architect and Integration Lead (SDIN) Job Locations US-CO-Colorado Springs ID 2026-2056 Category Systems Engineer Required Security Clearance Secret (SBI) Type Full-Time

Overview

Stellar Solutions, a nationally recognized "Great Place To Work," delivers engineering solutions across commercial space and national security missions, from innovative new entrants to established space systems organizations. We bring talented, energetic, and immediately productive professionals to meet critical customer needs in systems engineering and integration, mission operations, program management, and strategic planning, helping teams deliver resilient capability to the mission with speed, quality, and focus. Stellar Solutions is seeking a Cyber Architect and Integration Lead (SDIN) to support the U.S. Space Force in advancing secure, resilient, and interoperable network capabilities across the national security space enterprise. This role brings together systems security engineering, classified network architecture, and enterprise integration to help mission partners evaluate network solutions, establish secure interconnections, and navigate cybersecurity risk and authorization boundaries. The position requires a technically accomplished advisor who can connect complex architectural and security considerations with mission requirements, operational constraints, and informed leadership decisions. Role/Responsibilities/Qualifications This position serves as a key technical advisor and integration lead supporting coordination between the SDIN and meshONE-T network environments. The role emphasizes systems security engineering and cyber architecture within classified network environments, with responsibility for evaluating how distinct network capabilities can securely interoperate while satisfying mission needs, risk management requirements, and authorization constraints. Working closely with government stakeholders, program leadership, and network engineering teams, the individual will guide architectural decisions, assess integration approaches, and translate complex technical, cybersecurity, cost, and schedule considerations into actionable recommendations. This is an advisory and systems integration leadership position rather than a hands-on network equipment configuration or installation role.Key responsibilities include:

  • Serve as a primary technical advisor and integration liaison between SDIN, meshONE-T, government stakeholders, and external mission partners to advance secure enterprise network interoperability.
  • Assess classified network architectures, interconnection approaches, and associated security considerations to support mission requirements and informed architectural decisions.
  • Navigate cybersecurity compliance and authorization: Ensure all interconnected architectures meet applicable risk management and authorization boundaries, and support the development of the associated RMF packages.
  • Develop and recommend secure interconnection frameworks that account for network capabilities, technical dependencies, operational constraints, and mission-specific requirements.
  • Analyze the underlying technologies, architecture, capabilities, and limitations of SDIN and meshONE-T to identify integration opportunities, architectural dependencies, and potential mission risks.
  • Support systems engineering and cybersecurity architecture discussions to align integration recommendations with applicable security requirements and established risk management processes.
  • Evaluate network onboarding approaches, implementation timelines, organizational responsibilities, cost models, and operational considerations to help mission partners select appropriate network solutions.
  • Facilitate cross-functional technical coordination between network design teams, systems engineers, cybersecurity stakeholders, and program leadership to resolve integration challenges and establish common architectural understanding.
  • Develop technical analyses, architectural recommendations, cost-benefit assessments, onboarding guidance, and executive-level briefings supporting program decisions and enterprise governance reviews.
  • Communicate complex network and cybersecurity concepts, including interconnection risks, authorization dependencies, bandwidth constraints, cost considerations, and deployment schedules, to technical and non-technical decision makers.
  • Identify integration challenges, cybersecurity dependencies, and potential risks early, recommending mitigation approaches that support secure and timely mission capability delivery.
  • Build consensus across government organizations, engineering teams, and mission partners to advance coordinated integration strategies and support secure, resilient space mission infrastructure.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of experience in network engineering or network architecture.
  • Technical experience with SDIN network capabilities and architecture.
  • CISSP or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience developing RMF packages supporting ATO, ATC, or ATT for classified or National Security Systems (CNSSI 1253), including body of evidence preparation and continuous monitoring (ConMon).
  • Experience advising or consulting customers on enterprise network solutions and technical integration approaches.
  • Knowledge of enterprise networking principles, protocols, architecture, and operational dependencies.
  • Experience leading technical briefings and stakeholder discussions using Microsoft Teams.
  • Experience developing clear, concise technical documentation, including architectural blueprints, onboarding guidance, and executive summaries.
  • Ability to engage executive leadership, communicate technical recommendations, and build consensus across multiple stakeholder organizations.
  • Ability to translate complex technical information into actionable recommendations for technical and non-technical audiences.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience supporting meshONE-T network environments and associated integration considerations.
  • Experience architecting classified networks and evaluating security considerations associated with interconnected architectures.
  • Experience in systems engineering, network architecture, or cross-domain solutions supporting secure interoperability.
  • Knowledge of the Risk Management Framework (RMF), NIST standards, and their application to cybersecurity compliance and authorization boundaries.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, particularly when presenting complex cybersecurity, architecture, and integration issues to senior leadership.

Clearance & Additional Requirements

  • Active Secret security clearance required.
  • Must meet applicable security investigation and eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
