They contribute throughout the software development lifecycle - from designing software architecture and writing code to testing quality and deploying software in line with customer requirements. Full-stack software engineering roles that develop both user-interface and server-side components also fall within this job function.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with customers to understand their use cases, pain points, and requirements, demonstrating empathy and advocating for user-centric software solutions.
- Solve complex problems by designing, developing, and delivering solutions using appropriate tools, languages, frameworks, methodologies (including Agile), and technologies.
- Create high-level software architecture designs outlining the overall structure, components, and interfaces of applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product owners, designers, and architects.
- Define and implement software testing strategies, guidelines, policies, and processes in alignment with organizational goals, industry regulations, and market best practices.
- Apply software engineering practices such as test-driven development, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.
- Develop and maintain back-end applications, including APIs and microservices, using server-side languages.

Experience Required
- 4+ years in IT, including 3+ years in software development
- Develop and enhance application features using Java and Spring Boot.
- Troubleshoot and resolve customer-reported issues, including production defects and application-performance problems.
- Bootstrap and configure new projects, establishing application structure and development environments.
- Design, develop, and maintain microservices-based architectures.
- Build REST APIs and integrate services across distributed applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver scalable software solutions.
