POSITION: Special Education Teacher, Substitute
LOCATION: Starpoint High School
EFFECTIVE DATES: December 2026 - June 2027
QUALIFICATIONS: NYS Certification:
Students with Disabilities - 7 to 12 or Students with Disabilities -- All Grades
DESCRIPTION: Teacher will work as part of an academic team to provide support to students with disabilities in high school classrooms.
The successful candidate will have:
- Knowledge and background related to NYS learning standards
- Experience with differentiating instruction for students with diverse academic challenges
- The ability to meet students' social-emotional and academic needs
- Evidence of strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Desire to work collaboratively as part of a team
COMPENSATION: Step 1 Daily Rate - Per Starpoint Teachers' Association agreement with Health and Dental Insurance Coverage
