Original job description

Job Requirements We're looking for a Field Project Manager to support and coordinate building systems and controls projects - HVAC controls, BAS, Security, Fire Alarm, and related integration systems. This is a hands-on, field-based role where you'll balance schedule, quality, safety, and customer expectations while working closely with technicians, subcontractors, engineers, and customers.

What You'll Do

  • Manage construction-related work within defined processes, executing projects on time and within scope and budget
  • Organize and monitor budgets, schedules, progress, and costs; keep project plans current
  • Coordinate day-to-day field activities with technicians, subcontractors, customers, and internal teams
  • Perform field-based technical work, including installation support, startup, commissioning, and troubleshooting
  • Review drawings, specifications, submittals, and scope documents to support field execution
  • Manage change orders, RFIs, and related project documentation
  • Monitor field progress and installation quality, and flag risks or issues to project leadership
  • Maintain project documentation, including punch lists, as-builts, and closeout items
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers, subcontractors, and vendors
  • Lead field execution on assigned projects, coordinate labor and schedules, and mentor junior field staff - with the potential to supervise small field teams as your experience grows

Compensation

The expected pay range for this position is $30.97-$50 per hour, depending on experience, qualifications, and geographic location.

Stark Tech reasonably expects to pay within this range at the time of hire. Individual compensation is determined based on several factors including experience, education, certifications, skills, internal equity, and market conditions.

Work Experience What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years of experience in controls, HVAC, BAS, security, fire alarm, systems integration, or construction
  • Prior experience as a field technician, integration specialist, or installer strongly preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Working knowledge of project coordination, scheduling, and field documentation
  • OSHA certification preferred (required for some sites)
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and able to pass pre-employment screening
  • Valid driver's license, with ability to travel regularly to job sites
