Your Opportunity
We are seeking a Design Manager to lead the day-to-day coordination and execution of multidisciplinary design packages for advanced manufacturing and technology facilities. Working closely with the Senior Project Manager and discipline leads, this role translates program priorities into coordinated design deliverables, manages technical interfaces, and supports timely, high-quality releases in an accelerated environment. The ideal candidate combines technical credibility with rigorous follow-through and an ability to bring diverse teams together.
Your Key Responsibilities
Design Integration and Delivery
- Lead day-to-day design coordination across architecture, structural, mechanical, electrical, and specialty disciplines for assigned packages.
- Translate project milestones into discipline-level design activities, interface deadlines, review gates, and release plans.
- Manage design inputs, assumptions, dependencies, and technical decisions across concurrent work packages.
- Coordinate with the client, contractors, vendors, and consultants to resolve design interfaces and maintain alignment with requirements.
Technical Coordination and Quality
- Facilitate interdisciplinary reviews and identify clashes, gaps, constructability issues, and incomplete design interfaces before release.
- Work with discipline leads to confirm technical ownership, appropriate review and checking, and closure of review comments.
- Maintain design decision, action, interface, and deliverable registers with clear accountability and due dates.
- Support phased issuance, design revisions, RFIs, and construction-stage coordination while maintaining document traceability.
Schedule, Resources and Change
- Monitor design production progress against agreed package schedules and flag constraints early.
- Coordinate discipline capacity, inputs from distributed teams, and timely specialist engagement with the Senior Project Manager.
- Identify scope changes, rework, and schedule impacts and promptly elevate them for project and commercial evaluation.
- Provide concise design status reporting, highlighting upcoming deliverables, unresolved decisions, risks, and recovery actions.
Team Collaboration
- Lead effective coordination meetings and drive timely resolution of cross-disciplinary issues.
- Promote practical, buildable, maintainable design solutions consistent with client objectives and operational needs.
- Coach team members in design coordination, communication, and disciplined document delivery.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Experience coordinating integrated design on semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, science and technology, mission-critical, or comparably complex facilities.
- Strong understanding of architectural and engineering design workflows, technical interfaces, phased deliverables, and construction coordination.
- Proven ability to manage fast-moving design teams, competing deadlines, and geographically distributed contributors.
- Familiarity with BIM/Revit coordination, Bluebeam, document control platforms, and Microsoft Office / Project tools.
- Strong facilitation, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Design-build or other fast-track delivery experience preferred
- Valid driver's license and good driving record required.
