The Wire Cutter is responsible for accurately measuring, cutting, labeling, and staging electrical wire and cable according to customer orders. This role requires strong attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to meet daily production and accuracy goals in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Job Duties

• Read and interpret pick tickets and cut labels
• Accurately measure and cut wire to specified lengths using manual or automated cutting machines.
• Label cut wire correctly with part number, length, and order information (cut label).
• Inspect wire for defects, damage, or inconsistencies before staging.
• Maintain accuracy and productivity standards
• Safely operate wire cutting machines, reels, and material handling equipment.

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous manufacturing or production training is beneficial.

Experience Requirements

• 3 years of experience in manufacturing and production environments.
• Ability to follow written work instructions, production procedures, and quality standards.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain productivity and consistent quality.
• Mechanical aptitude and the ability to safely operate basic production equipment when required.
• Dependable attendance, teamwork, and a commitment to workplace safety.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing, assembly, production, warehouse, or industrial experience is preferred.
• Experience operating production equipment, performing quality inspections, or meeting production goals is beneficial.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement practices, or workplace safety procedures is considered an asset.
• Individuals who demonstrate reliability, adaptability, teamwork, and a strong work ethic are well positioned for success as a Wire Cutter.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive production tasks throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift materials, components, or finished products weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to safely operate around production equipment and moving machinery.
• Ability to maintain productivity while working in fast-paced manufacturing environments.
