Job Duties

• Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable (AP), including invoice processing, payment runs, and vendor reconciliations
• Oversee Accounts Receivable (AR), customer billing, cash applications, and collections activities
• Prepare and file monthly and quarterly sales tax returns
• Process weekly payroll for approximately 30 employees and administer 401(k) contributions through ADP
• Monitor daily cash activity, bank transactions, and treasury functions
• Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and month-end close activities
• Generate basic financial reports, including Profit & Loss statements and Balance Sheets
• Maintain accurate financial records while ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards

Education Requirements

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred
• Equivalent accounting experience will be considered
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills required
• Experience with accounting software and ERP systems required

Experience Requirements

• 4+ years of accounting experience in a Senior Accountant, Accounting Manager, or Full-Charge Bookkeeper role
• Previous experience working in a small business environment (under 50 employees)
• Experience processing payroll through ADP Workforce Now
• Experience managing weekly payroll and 401(k) administration
• Proven ability to independently run a one-person accounting department
• Experience with ProfitKey ERP strongly preferred
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to remain seated and work at a computer for extended periods
• Ability to perform repetitive data entry and keyboard tasks
• Must be able to work scheduled hours and meet month-end deadlines
• No lifting requirements

What You Will Do

As a Temporary Accounting Manager you will prepare and analyze financial reports, maintain general ledger accounts, reconcile financial records, support budgeting activities, monitor financial transactions, assist with audits, ensure compliance with accounting standards, prepare journal entries, and help provide accurate financial information that supports business operations and strategic decision-making.
