About the Opportunity

Staffmark is hiring an experienced Industrial Material Handler to support a global manufacturer of specialty chemicals and advanced materials.

This is a hands-on role in a chemical manufacturing environment - NOT a traditional warehouse position. You’ll keep production moving by safely handling raw materials, chemical containers, packaging supplies, and finished products while maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting daily manufacturing operations.

We’re looking for dependable, safety-conscious professionals with strong material handling, inventory control, and equipment operation experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, move, store, and stage materials for production and shipment.
  • Verify material numbers, lot numbers, quantities, labels, and documentation.
  • Operate forklifts and other authorized material handling equipment.
  • Process inventory transactions, transfers, and cycle counts using SAP or similar systems.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and investigate discrepancies.
  • Follow chemical handling procedures, wear required PPE, and maintain a clean, organized work area.
  • Partner with Production, Quality, and Shipping teams to ensure timely material delivery.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of warehouse, material handling, inventory control, or logistics experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Experience operating forklifts or comparable powered industrial equipment.
  • Experience with SAP or a similar inventory management system.
  • Knowledge of inventory control, cycle counts, and material traceability.
  • Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and dependable attendance.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to lift up to 65 pounds, follow site safety requirements, and work in varying temperatures, including cold rooms.
  • Availability to work rotating first- and second-shift schedules.

Preferred: Chemical manufacturing experience, hazardous material handling, and familiarity with 5S or Lean practices.

Why Join Staffmark?

  • Competitive hourly pay and weekly paychecks.
  • Medical, dental, vision, and other benefits, subject to eligibility.
  • Opportunities to develop industrial material handling and inventory management skills.

Ready to Apply?

If you have strong industrial material handling experience and understand the importance of safety, inventory accuracy, and supporting manufacturing operations, apply today!

Please note: This is an industrial chemical manufacturing position requiring hands-on material handling, equipment operation, and adherence to established safety procedures.

What You Will Do

As a Chemical Manufacturing Material Handler you will receive, move, stage, load, unload, organize, and transport materials throughout warehouse or manufacturing operations. You will verify inventory, maintain accurate product locations, prepare materials for production or shipment, assist with inventory control, and help ensure safe, efficient movement of products while following established workplace procedures.

The Chemical Manufacturing Material Handler supports warehouse productivity by safely moving materials throughout receiving, storage, production, and shipping areas. This role requires organization, attention to detail, and a commitment to workplace safety.

A successful Chemical Manufacturing Material Handler understands inventory handling, warehouse procedures, material movement, and product identification while maintaining accurate inventory flow and efficient daily operations. Dependable performance contributes directly to operational success.

This career offers rewarding opportunities for individuals who enjoy logistics and warehouse operations.
