PRODUCTION MANAGER

We are seeking a Production Manager to join our client's team. This position is temporary to hire, for the right candidate.

Location: Vineland, NJ

Salary Range: Annual $59K - $80K depending on experience

The Production Manager duties are:

1. Conduct studies to discover ways to improve the efficiency of production processes.

The Production Manager combines his special knowledge of kosher production standards, with essential continuous improvement knowledge, to continuously evaluate the company’s production processes and identify changes to our production methods that both comply with kosher standards and increase efficiency and profitability.

2. Oversee the hiring and training of food production personnel.

The Production Manager ensures necessary training programs are in place so that all production personnel are adhering to kosher standards, as well as essential safety and production standards. This includes ensuring staff are adhering to necessary sanitary and safety standards.

3. Monitor every aspect of production to ensure compliance with established procedures and standards.

As Production Manager, the Production Manager is second only to the Plant Manager with regards to ensuring the production facility is adhering to all necessary kosher procedures and standards and is responsible for implementing corrective actions, including stopping production, where necessary procedures and standards are not being adhered to.

4. Oversee the maintenance, repair, and replacement of production equipment to ensure efficient production operations.

All production equipment must adhere to kosher production standards, including kosherization. The Production Manager combines their special knowledge of kosher standards, with production/manufacturing experience, to ensure all equipment is being maintained, repaired and/or replaced, as needed, and that necessary kosherization standards are being adhered to.

5. Set production objectives and implement action plans for achieving set targets.

In accordance with strict kosher record-keeping requirements, the Production Manager maintains necessary records and inventory of raw materials and food products. In addition, they ensure products and raw materials are stored properly and at optimum conditions in accordance with both food safety and kosher standards.
