Bus Aide

Qualifications: - High School or equivalent preferred. - Must be in good health and able to lift 40 pounds. - Must possess a current First Aid/CPR certificate. - Able to pass physical, background, and drug test(s) as required. - Must be punctual and dependable. - Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with students, parents, and staff. - Must possess or have the ability to obtain an AZ DPS IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card. Reports to: Transportation Director and Transportation Secretary Performance Responsibilities: - Rides the school bus with students both to and from school, according to schedule established by the Transportation Director and/or Transportation Secretary. - Maintains student daily attendance roster - Assists students with boarding and departing the bus, and may accompany them to their classroom. - Walks up and down the aisle to observe, correct and/or report on student behavior. - Writes up and maintains conduct notices. - Assures that students obey bus rules. - Assists driver with maintaining bus cleanliness. - Maintains a professional appearance in accordance with district dress code. - Reports any problems to the driver and Transportation Secretary. - Assists driver with each student on the bus in case of emergency or for emergency exercise drills. - Attends and participates in all transportation meetings and drills. - Performs other related duties as required. Terms of Employment: 10 months. Part-time. Salary established by the Governing Board policy on evaluation of classified personnel.
