  • Use Ansible, Puppet, or Chef to orchestrate mass updates and maintain configuration consistency at scale.
  • Manage kernel upgrades, firmware updates, and driver compatibility across hardware, virtual, on-premises, and cloud platforms.
  • Maintain rigorous documentation and reporting to support audit and compliance requirements, including SOC 2 and PCI DSS.
  • Coordinate production maintenance activities where uptime and maintenance windows are critical.

What we value

These skills will help you succeed in this role:

  • Deep Linux administration expertise, including command-line operations, shell scripting, and package managers such as YUM, DNF, and APT.
  • A strong security mindset with practical understanding of CVEs, CVSS scoring, and common Linux exploits.
  • Proven experience using infrastructure-as-code and configuration-management tools to manage environments at scale.
  • Strong troubleshooting and decision-making skills across diverse hardware and virtual platforms.
  • A reliability-focused approach to production systems, change planning, uptime, and controlled maintenance windows.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated professional experience administering Linux production environments.
  • Hands-on experience with RHEL, CentOS, or Ubuntu and package-management tooling.
  • Experience with vulnerability platforms such as Tenable, Qualys, or Rapid7.
  • Experience with automation and configuration-management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
  • Working knowledge of security hardening, vulnerability remediation, kernel and firmware lifecycle management, and audit documentation.

Additional requirements

  • Python scripting is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Terraform Infrastructure as a code is preferred.

Work Requirement

  • Night and weekend support.
  • Participation in an on-call rotation.
  • Datacenter visit and physical work.
