Spyglass MTG is looking for an ambitious, technically curious Azure professional who wants to accelerate their career in Data and AI. This opportunity is designed for someone who may not yet have every credential or years of architecture experience, but who has something more difficult to teach: initiative, intellectual curiosity, strong communication skills, and the drive to master new technology. You may currently work in Azure infrastructure, cloud engineering, software development, data engineering, analytics, or Azure AI. What matters most is that you have built a solid technical foundation and are actively preparing yourself for what comes next. The right person does not wait for formal training to begin learning. You experiment with new tools, build small applications or proofs of concept, follow developments in AI and cloud technology, and teach yourself because you genuinely want to understand how things work. What You Will Do

• Design and build practical solutions using Microsoft Azure technologies across AI, Data, applications, and cloud infrastructure.
• Create proofs of concept that demonstrate how emerging technologies can solve real business problems.
• Develop solutions using Python, C#, SQL, or other relevant programming and scripting languages.
• Gain hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, Microsoft Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, Azure Databricks, GitHub Copilot, and related technologies.
• Work directly with clients to understand business needs and translate them into clear technical solutions.
• Participate in technical discovery sessions, solution design, demonstrations, presentations, and project delivery.
• Collaborate with experienced architects, engineers, and consultants while taking ownership of your own development.
• Help create reusable solutions, demonstrations, accelerators, and Azure Marketplace offerings.
• Research and test new Microsoft technologies before they become widely adopted.
• Share what you learn through demonstrations, technical presentations, webinars, internal learning sessions, or written content.
• Build the technical depth, business understanding, and communication skills needed to grow into a trusted solution architect.

Technical Foundation We are not looking for someone who already knows everything. We are looking for someone with meaningful experience in at least one of the following areas and a demonstrated ability to learn the others.

Azure Data

Experience or familiarity with technologies such as:

• Microsoft Fabric
• Azure Databricks
• Azure SQL
• Data engineering
• Data pipelines and integration
• Analytics and reporting
• Data architecture

Azure AI and Application Development

Experience or familiarity with technologies such as:

• Microsoft Foundry
• Azure OpenAI
• Azure AI services
• Azure AI Search
• Large language models
• Microsoft Copilot
• Prompt engineering
• AI application development
• APIs, agents, or application integration

Azure Infrastructure and Cloud

Experience or familiarity with technologies such as:

• Microsoft Azure
• Cloud infrastructure
• Azure networking
• Identity and access management
• Application hosting
• Azure security
• Infrastructure as Code
• DevOps practices

You do not need experience with every technology listed. We are more interested in what you have mastered, what you have built, and how quickly you can grow.

Required Qualifications

• Practical experience with Microsoft Azure, software development, Data, AI, cloud infrastructure, or a closely related technical discipline.
• Programming or scripting experience with Python, C#, SQL, PowerShell, JavaScript, or a comparable language.
• Ability to demonstrate technical work through professional projects, personal projects, code samples, certifications, labs, or proofs of concept.
• Strong verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to clients and colleagues.
• A record of independently learning and applying new technology.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the persistence to work through unfamiliar challenges.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote environment and manage responsibilities with limited supervision.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

What Will Make You Stand Out

• A GitHub portfolio, technical blog, demonstration, certification project, or personal application that shows what you can build.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot.
• A recent project where you independently learned a new technology and applied it to solve a real problem.
• Experience presenting technical solutions to clients, leadership teams, user groups, or professional communities.
• Microsoft certifications in Azure, Data, AI, development, or cloud infrastructure.
• Evidence that you actively explore new technology outside of your immediate job responsibilities.
• A clear point of view about how AI will change software development, Data, cloud architecture, or consulting.
