Original job description

Warehouse Supervisor Composed of Chromalox, Durex Industries, Vulcanic, and Thermocoax businesses, Electrical Thermal Solutions (ETS), part of Spirax Group, creates electrical process heating and temperature management solutions, including industrial heaters and systems, heat tracing, and a range of component technologies. At Chromalox, we build advanced thermal technologies for the world’s most challenging industrial heating applications. Headquartered in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, we got our start with an innovative solution 100 years ago when a self-taught engineer invented the first metal-sheathed resistance heating element. It was this then-advanced thermal technology that launched an entire industry. We excel in industries that have high expectations. We are acknowledged as experts at delivering solutions that exceed specifications, limit risk, and reduce operating costs. Join us as we continue to provide solutions to our customers and the world!

The Role:

The Warehouse Supervisor oversees shipping, receiving, inventory control, and material flow within a manufacturing environment to ensure timely deliveries and accurate records. The role manages domestic and international logistics, employee scheduling, payroll support, and ERP (JDE) transactions, while driving 5S compliance and process improvements. Working closely with project managers, customers, and carriers, this position is key to maintaining efficient operations and supporting production needs.

Your Responsibilities:

Oversee daily warehouse and shipping operations, including task reviews, employee scheduling, and 5S compliance.
Manage outbound logistics:
Arrange and coordinate domestic and international shipments.
Obtain freight quotes and collaborate with forwarders, project managers, and customers.
Process shipping and invoicing transactions in JDE.
File and follow up on claims for missing or damaged shipments.
Manage team-conducted physical inventory and cycle counts
Perform root cause analysis
Make proper inventory adjustments
Participate in and lead regular operations meetings (daily stand-up, weekly area meetings).
Monitor and manage JDE system tasks, including status management, shipping/receiving/storeroom system access, receiving processes, inventory control management, invoicing roles, RFQs, and purchase requisitions.
Provide payroll support through ADP and ensure accurate employee scheduling.
Maintain operational reporting tools such as the SSP tracker, KPIs, and SHP/UA location cleanup.
Ensure adherence to safety, compliance, and process standards in warehouse operations.
Support process improvement initiatives to enhance shipping efficiency and communication flow.

Requirements:

Education/Experience

Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field (preferred).
3–5 years in shipping/logistics coordination, warehouse supervision, or related role in a manufacturing environment.

Technical Skills

Proficiency in ERP systems (JDE strongly preferred).
Familiarity with ADP payroll and scheduling systems.
Competency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Teams.

Knowledge/Competencies

Understanding of domestic and international shipping processes.
Experience obtaining freight quotes and coordinating with forwarders.
Experience with conducting physical inventories and cycle counts.
Familiarity with RFQs, purchase requisitions, and claims resolution.
Knowledge of 5S/Lean practices.

Soft Skills

Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Clear communication and cross-team collaboration.
Ability to lead daily/weekly meetings and hold teams accountable.
Problem-solving and decision-making under time-sensitive conditions.
