At Chromalox, we build advanced thermal technologies for the world’s most challenging industrial heating applications. Headquartered in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, we got our start with an innovative solution 100 years ago when a self-taught engineer invented the first metal-sheathed resistance heating element. It was this then-advanced thermal technology that launched an entire industry. We excel in industries that have high expectations. We are acknowledged as experts at delivering solutions that exceed specifications, limit risk, and reduce operating costs. Join us as we continue to provide solutions to our customers and the world!

Our Inside Sales Engineers develop engineered solutions for customers by understanding their applications while preparing and providing technical proposals. You will help develop cost-effective solutions for our customers’ unique heat trace and control applications while ensuring their satisfaction with both pre and post order.

Your Responsibilities:

Provide premium solutions that are efficient and profitable for customers and the business; identify competitive solutions and review price options through proper channels.
Maintain proficiency in business systems, product lines, and the underlying engineering principles.
Tasked with driving sales growth and following up with customers on quotes.
Complete accurate order entry while adhering to policy, price guidelines, and published lead times.
Promptly follow up on assigned sales leads.
Process requests for customer material returns.
Provide world-class customer service, answering customer inquiries as efficiently and accurately as possible.
Collaborate closely with all departments to optimize customer applications and efficiently resolve customer concerns.
Escalate concerns related to business at risk.
Verify contract information on the customer purchase order and ensure the organization can meet the specified requirements; ensure product requirements are clearly defined at the time of order.

Requirements:

Customer service experience is preferred.
A Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering is preferred; other degrees are considered.
Working experience with Microsoft Office programs is a plus.
Fluent in the written and speaking English language, experience with other languages considered a plus.
Excellent customer-facing skills: training, coaching, discussion management, conflict resolution and ability to creatively explain and present complex concepts.
Excellent communication skills, able to communicate confidently and concisely in verbal, written and presentation formats to all types of audiences.

At Chromalox, we are not just an employer but a champion of equal opportunities and inclusivity. We are dedicated to fostering a workplace that adheres to the highest hiring standards and is free from discrimination and harassment.
