Original job description

Ready for a steady warehouse job with a real future? Spherion is hiring Machine Operators for a top-tier manufacturing facility right here in Mission, TX. They make plastic parts for big names in the automotive, furniture, and consumer goods industries, and we are looking for reliable workers to join the team.

This is a temp-to-hire position where you get your foot in the door with a great company. While working through Spherion, you get weekly pay, a friendly team, NO Sunday work, and fully paid on-the-job training - no prior warehouse experience required!

The best part? This company is employee-owned. Once you switch over to their permanent team, you get a piece of the pie: true company stock (ESOP), quarterly cash bonuses based on profit, full benefits, and plenty of room to move up into higher-paying technical or lead roles. If you want a job where hard work actually pays off, apply today!

Responsibilities:

Run and keep an eye on assigned plastic molding machines (you will start with 1 press and can move up to 4 / 5 as you get comfortable).

Check finished products as they come off the line to make sure they aren't damaged or defective.

Trim excess plastic, count items, and pack parts safely into shipping boxes.

Put correct labels on boxes and fill out simple daily production sheets.

Keep your work area clean, organized, and follow a stable schedule with NO Sunday work.

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 4:00 AM

Skills:

Previous experience in a warehouse, factory, assembly line, or order packing environment.

Good eye for detail (spotting scratches or defects in parts quickly).

Experience following simple written instructions or step-by-step assembly guides.

Interest in learning a trade and moving up into supervisor or machine tech roles.

Demonstrated leadership potential or interest in advancing into technical roles (e.g., Mold Set-Up Tech, Quality Inspector, Shift Lead).

Education:

No Degree Required

Experience:

1-4 years

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED (OR a solid work history showing you can stick with a job).

Great attendance - showing up on time for your shift is a must.

Ability to stand on your feet for an 8+ hour shift, do repetitive hand work, and lift up to 35 lbs.

Team-player attitude and the flexibility to work overtime when production gets bus

Stop hopping from one dead-end job to the next. Secure a warehouse role where you can enjoy your Sundays off and actually become part-owner of the company down the road! Click "Apply" now, and a Spherion recruiter will call you for a quick phone interview. Let's get you to work!

Spherion has helped thousands of people just like you find work happiness! Our experienced staff will listen carefully to your employment needs and then work diligently to match your skills and qualifications to the right job and company. Whether you're looking for temporary, temp-to-perm or direct hire opportunities, no one works harder for you than Spherion.

Equal Opportunity Employer: Race, Color, Religion, Sex, Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, National Origin, Age, Genetic Information, Disability, Protected Veteran Status, or any other legally protected group status.

At Spherion, we welcome people of all abilities and want to ensure that our hiring and interview process meets the needs of all applicants. If you require a reasonable accommodation to make your application or interview experience a great one, please contact Callcenter@spherion.com.

Pay offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc. In addition, Spherion offers a comprehensive benefits package, including: medical, prescription, dental, vision, AD&D, and life insurance offerings, short-term disability, and a 401K plan (all benefits are based on eligibility).
