Spherion Mid Ohio is hiring a Press Machine Operator for a 1st-shift manufacturing opportunity in New Washington.

This position is a good fit for someone with previous machine-operation experience who's comfortable working with presses, machine setups, measurements, and quality checks.

You'll operate production equipment, load and unload materials, inspect finished work, and assist with machine and die setups to keep production running safely and accurately.

What You'll Do

• Set up and operate production presses and other manufacturing equipment
• Load materials and parts into machinery
• Unload completed parts after production
• Assist with changing and setting dies
• Follow proper Lockout/Tagout procedures during equipment setup
• Read a tape measure and use calipers to verify measurements
• Follow work orders, specifications, and basic blueprints as needed
• Inspect finished parts for defects and accuracy
• Monitor equipment throughout the production process
• Make basic equipment adjustments as needed
• Perform routine operator-level preventative maintenance
• Keep your workstation clean and safe
• Work with your team to meet production and quality goals

What We're Looking For

• Previous manufacturing machine-operation experience
• Experience operating presses or similar production equipment preferred
• Machine setup or die-setting experience is highly desirable
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure
• Experience using calipers or other measurement tools
• Blueprint-reading experience is helpful
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Good attention to detail
• Ability to follow Lockout/Tagout and other safety procedures
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Ability to stand throughout an 8-hour shift
• Ability to lift, move, and push up to 50 lbs. as needed
• Dependable attendance and ability to work overtime as required
