Custodian

This role is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine cleaning tasks, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors to ensure cleanliness throughout the facility.
• Maintain and care for various floor types through buffing and floor care techniques to enhance their appearance and longevity.
• Perform other tasks such as taking out the trash, cleaning classrooms, cleaning hallways, wiping windows, cleaning the gymnasium, picking up trash around the school as needed, mopping the stairs, and working quickly to get all tasks done.
• Reporting broken fixtures, leaks, or safety hazards to management, and performing minor maintenance tasks like changing light bulbs.

Working hours: 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM

Skills:

• Proficiency in deep-cleaning classrooms, restrooms, cafeterias, and gymnasiums.
• Capable of prioritizing tasks independently to finish a cleaning route.
• A respectful, patient, and professional attitude appropriate for an educational environment.

Education:

High School

Experience:

1-4 years

Qualifications:

• Passing a comprehensive criminal background check and fingerprinting is mandatory
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, lift heavy objects (often up to 30 lbs), and operate industrial cleaning machinery such as a floor machine.
