Material Handler No Forklift 3rd Shift

3rd Shift: Mon-Fri 11pm-7am

3rd Shift: $2.00/hr shift differential

The Finishing Utility Level 1 - Material Handler position is responsible for determining the materials necessary for each order and ensuring these materials are available at the gluer before production begins.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

\u2022 Prints labels as needed for order based on information from job jacket.

\u2022 Prepares the Padlocker Control Information Form and forwards to the Padlocker Operator.

\u2022 Checks order instructions to verify proper case/pad/scored uboard to pull from inventory.

\u2022 Use AS400 to locate cases and move to the floor.

\u2022 Drive lift to warehouse and retrieve cases, bring back to Finishing Department.

\u2022 Place corrugated at designated areas.

\u2022 Return excess corrugated to inventory when job is complete.

\u2022 Reads and understands work schedule to determine the next order for gluing operation.

\u2022 Verifies number of pallets from Cutting Department with number of pallets to be glued.

\u2022 Reviews the Finishing instructions in the Order Instructions Display Program for customer specifications and special instructions.

\u2022 Determines and cuts the correct size layer board, dividers, and uboards that are to be used for the order.

\u2022 Checks and verifies the order number from the cutting load tag to the job jacket; moves pallet to gluer.

\u2022 Performs all duties according to established safety policy, including wearing all required PPEs to perform duties.

QUALIFICATIONS:

\u2022 1-year work related experience in a manufacturing environment and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

\u2022 On the job training will be required for this position.

\u2022 Good computer skills

\u2022 Good problem-solving skills.

\u2022 The ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

\u2022 Good communication skills
