Trim Carpenter

Skillforce is hiring experienced Trim Carpenters for a 3-week project in Jacksonville, FL. The ideal candidate has strong finish-carpentry skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship on commercial construction projects.

Pay: $30+, depending on experience Shift: 1st shift, working 40-50 hours a week

Trim Carpenter Responsibilities

• Install commercial finish carpentry, including doors, frames, baseboards, casing, trim, molding, and other architectural millwork
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, specifications, and construction plans
• Measure, cut, fit, and install wood and composite materials accurately
• Install doors, hardware, cabinets, paneling, and other finish components as required
• Perform layout and ensure finished work meets project specifications and quality standards
• Use hand tools, power tools, and carpentry equipment safely and effectively
• Coordinate with other trades and communicate with supervisors and project management regarding job-site needs
• Identify and correct installation issues or deficiencies

Trim Carpenter Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial finish or trim carpentry experience
• Proficiency with common carpentry hand and power tools
• Ability to accurately read blueprints and construction drawings
• Strong knowledge of finish carpentry techniques, materials, and installation methods
• Ability to take accurate measurements and perform basic calculations
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
• Ability to lift materials, stand for extended periods, climb ladders, and perform physical construction work
• Must be able to pass a background check
