CNC Operators

Location: Apple Creek, OH Pay: $25–$35/hour, plus per diem and travel for qualified travelers Duration: 6 weeks Schedule: 40+ hours per week Job Type: Contract Skillforce is currently hiring experienced CNC Operators for a 6-week manufacturing project in Apple Creek, OH. The ideal candidate will have experience setting up and operating CNC machinery, reading blueprints, and producing accurate, high-quality parts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. CNC Operator Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machinery according to production requirements and specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
• Load materials, secure workpieces, and select appropriate tooling as needed.
• Monitor machine operations and make adjustments to maintain production quality and accuracy.
• Measure and inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments.
• Verify dimensions, tolerances, and finished-product quality.
• Perform routine machine checks and identify potential equipment or production issues.
• Maintain accurate production records and follow established quality control procedures.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.

CNC Operator Qualifications

• Previous experience operating CNC machinery in a manufacturing or machine shop environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and dimensional specifications.
• Experience using precision measuring tools, including calipers and micrometers.
• Knowledge of machine setup, tooling, and basic machine adjustments.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts.
• Ability to identify production issues and troubleshoot basic machine problems.
• Dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Available Shifts

• 1st Shift: 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM
• 2nd Shift: 2:30 PM – 10:30 PM
• 3rd Shift: 10:30 PM – 6:30 AM

Travel & Per Diem

• $179 per day in per diem ($1,247 per week), paid for all days while traveling.
• Travelers are compensated at their regular hourly rate for hours worked.
• Personal vehicle travel reimbursed at $0.76 per mile.
• Airfare provided for air travelers, with rental car and fuel reimbursement.
