Original job description
Program Manager, Corporate Initiatives
Location: Rochester, NY In Office/Hybrid Reports To: Executive Strategist to the CEO Direct Reports: None
Executive Summary
Some roles advise from the sidelines. This one doesn't. As Program Manager, Corporate Initiatives, you'll sit in the middle of the action at SimuTech Group, working side by side with the CEO and the Executive Strategist to turn our biggest priorities into things that actually happen, and keeping us on pace toward an ambitious long-term growth goal.
The priorities are set. The path to get there rarely is. You'll step into initiatives that cut across sales, services, marketing, finance, HR, IT, and engineering, where nobody reports to you, ownership isn't always clear, and the plan is still taking shape. Your job is to bring order to the mess: line up owners, surface what's blocking progress, get the right people in the room early, and keep everyone from the CEO to the front line clear on what matters and what's moving. You'll do it through credibility and follow-through, not title.
This role is for someone who gets energy from high-stakes work and from being trusted with it. You won't set strategy, but you will own execution. You'll decide when to roll up your sleeves with a functional leader and when to pull in the Executive Strategist, and you'll bring a recommendation either way. You'll also build the foundation that helps the whole company move faster, from one trusted place for how we operate to making sure the tools and programs we invest in actually get used. If you want a front-row seat to how a growing company runs, and a path toward broader corporate operations and executive leadership support, this is it.

Role Summary
The Program Manager, Corporate Initiatives is accountable for ensuring that leadership priorities do not stall between teams. This role creates the plans, cadences, and visibility that let executives see what is moving, what is blocked, and what needs a decision, and it creates the connections between functions that reduce friction and duplicate effort.
The Program Manager supports and drives effectiveness across:
• Initiative Delivery & Progress Tracking
• Long-Term Growth Goal Tracking & Executive Reporting
• Company Knowledge Hub & SOP Centralization
• Customer Journey Mapping
• Innovation Initiative Delivery
• Cross-Functional Communication
• Adoption & Change Readines
Key Responsibilities
Initiative Delivery & Execution
• Turn priorities set by the CEO and Executive Strategist into plans with defined owners, milestones, dependencies, and risks, and drive them through completion and adoption.
• Track progress across cross-functional initiatives and maintain a clear, current view of status for leadership.
• Identify blockers early, resolve what can be resolved directly with functional leaders, and escalate what cannot, with context and a recommendation.
• Support the launch of new programs and processes, then transition ongoing ownership to functional leaders once they are running.
Growth Goal Tracking & Executive Reporting
• Maintain the workstreams that feed the company's long-term growth goal, tracking progress, dependencies, and risks against plan.
• Prepare concise executive updates, briefings, and dashboards that give leadership clarity on where the company stands.
• Flag issues early so leadership can act before an initiative falls behind.
Single Source of Truth & SOP Centralization
• Own the structure, standards, and findability of the company's central knowledge hub, including SOPs, key decisions, training resources, directories, and initiative status.
• Partner with functional leaders, who own their content, to keep information current, consistent, and easy to find.
• Audit and reconcile information across the organization so that there is one trusted place to look for what is current and accurate.
Customer Journey Mapping & Special Projects
• Support the customer journey mapping initiative across sales, services, marketing, and product, and track the resulting improvement projects.
• Partner with the innovation team to move selected ideas from concept to launch with clear ownership, timelines, and cross-functional involvement.
• Lead special projects with a defined business outcome, such as an enablement launch, a systems rollout, or a cross-functional operating change.
Cross-Functional Partnership & Communication
• Act as the connective tissue between functions, creating touchpoints and cadences that bring teams into each other's work early and by design.
• Help functions make their roadmaps, priorities, and capacity visible to each other.
• Communicate proactively to executives, functional leaders, and frontline teams so that everyone knows what matters, what is moving, and what is blocked.
• Influence without authority, building trust with leaders across the organization and keeping initiatives moving through relationships, clarity, and follow-through.
Qualifications
• 5-7 years of experience in program or project management, business operations, strategy and operations, consulting, or a similar cross-functional role.
• Demonstrated experience managing initiatives from start to finish with clear business impact.
• Proven ability to influence and drive results across teams without direct authority.
• Experience building trackers, dashboards, status reporting, and operating cadences that leaders rely on.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including executive updates, briefings, and presentations.
• Analytical skills, including comfort synthesizing data from Excel, a CRM, or BI tools into clear recommendations.
• Sound judgment on when to resolve an issue directly and when to escalate.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and maturity.
• Comfort operating in a fast-moving, growing organization where priorities shift and processes are still being built.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in a technical, professional services, engineering, SaaS, or technology organization preferred.
• Familiarity with Salesforce, Power BI, or similar reporting tools preferred.
• Experience with change management or system adoption, such as ERP, HRIS, or AI tool rollouts, preferred.
• Experience documenting processes or building internal knowledge hubs preferred.
• PMP, MBA, or similar credentials are a plus but not required.
