WHAT YOU’LL DO

As a Ready-Mix Driver, you’ll be responsible for safely delivering quality concrete from our plant to construction sites throughout the area while providing excellent service to our customers.

Your day will include:

• Safely operating a ready-mix concrete truck to and from customer job sites.

• Delivering ready-mix concrete safely, efficiently, and professionally.

• Performing required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.

• Maintaining your truck and keeping the cab, drum, and exterior clean.

• Communicating with dispatch, plant personnel, customers, and your fellow drivers.

• Using company-provided tablets and electronic devices to manage deliveries and job information.

• Following DOT requirements and Silver Strike safety procedures.

• Representing Silver Strike Concrete professionally at every job site.

Qualifications

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with tanker endorsement.
• Ability to meet applicable Department of Transportation (DOT) qualification requirements, including required physical and drug/alcohol testing.
• Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of the position, including bending, climbing, reaching, standing, walking, and lifting up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to perform basic math, including addition and subtraction.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand instructions and safety information necessary to safely perform the job.
• Ability to follow maps, directions, delivery instructions, and job-site requirements.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
