Deputy Bailiff

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

Under the direct authority of the Chief Probation Officer, the deputy bailiff is responsible for the security of the Municipal Court.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Completion of secondary education or equivalent (high school diploma or GED); minimum of six (6) months of security or bailiff experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

LICENSURE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Must possess a valid Ohio driver’s license and maintain insurability under the City’s vehicle insurance policy; weapons and L.E.A.D.S certifications required or must be able to obtain such certifications within the required period.

EQUIPMENT OPERATED:

Motor vehicle, electronic monitoring equipment; firearm; pepper spray; radio; personal computer, telephone, copier, fax machine, printer, calculator, and other standard office equipment.
