This role will be located at one of Discovery Land Company’s locations: “Project Name”, set outside of “closest and largest recognizable city/state”. Discovery Land Company is seeking a Regional CFO to join the Finance and Accounting Department. The Regional Chief Financial Officer will be responsible for the project’s accounting practices, tax issues, the maintenance of its fiscal records, and the preparation of financial reports. The individual will ensure best management practices in company expense control and reporting are utilized. This position is also responsible for leading the accounting & finance department for the Project, overseeing all legal aspects of the Project, including all Project level employment concerns. In addition, the Regional CFO is responsible for all IT and Risk Management initiatives at the Project.Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for different Project’s accounting policies, procedures and operations including cash management, maintaining the integrity of the general ledger(s), cost / budget accounting, A/P, revenue accounting, and maintenance of fiscal records.
• Responsible for preparation of all weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, as required by Discovery Land Company, the Project owners and investors, its lenders, and any other external reporting needs.
• Responsible for all audit and tax preparation, in conjunction with the Project’s independent accounting firms, as applicable. Familiarity with the principles of GAAP and conformance with the requirements of the Internal Revenue Service is critical.
• Responsible for all aspects of the annual budget process for the Project, including all sales, development, operations, and administrative areas.
• Maintains the Project Business Plan and resulting cash flow models for timely and comprehensive short, medium, and long-term cash management to maximize Project cash flow and returns.
• Coordination of all aspects of monthly draw process to owners and lenders, including job cost allocation, draw preparation and submittal, and collections and lien waiver processing, as applicable.
• Oversight of the Project IT department, including all accounting and other data management systems.
• Works with HR and legal teams at corporate, and collaboratively with HR function on site; oversight of payroll function.
• Interface with senior staff, Company principals and Owners with respect to all aspects of the Project. Additional Requirements

• Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Long hours may be required due to business demands.

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages preferred.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds.Benefits
