About the Role SERVPRO is hiring a Construction Manager to run residential rebuild projects from signed contract through closeout. When a home has been damaged by water, fire or storm, you are the person who puts it back together on schedule, on budget and to a standard the owner is proud of.
You take each project from the Preconstruction Manager at contract signature and run it from there: the schedule, the budget, the subcontractors, the crew and the customer. This is real project ownership, not supervising someone else's job.
If you have run residential construction or remodeling projects, you have what matters most. We will train you on the restoration and insurance side.
What You Would Do
- Own schedule, budget, quality and gross profit on every project assigned to you.
- Receive the signed contract, scope and approved estimate at handoff, check the budget for adequacy and raise variances before mobilization.
- Pull permits, build project schedules and coordinate inspections and code compliance.
- Lead Construction Supervisors and, through them, Construction Technicians: scheduling, coaching and day-to-day performance.
- Find, qualify and negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers, and hold them to schedule and quality.
- Identify out-of-scope work and run the change order process, and act as point person on supplements with our Estimator, who handles the carrier and adjuster.
- Collect draws, help collect final payment and manage project expenses, equipment and materials.
- Keep the job file and field documentation complete and current.
- Keep customers informed on progress and next steps, and manage warranty work after completion.
Who We Are Looking For
- Experience running residential construction or remodeling projects end to end as a project manager, construction manager or superintendent.
- Restoration or insurance work is a plus but not required. We will train you.
- Comfortable managing to a budget and a gross profit target, and handling change orders.
- Experience building and managing a subcontractor bench.
- Organized with paperwork and job software. Experience with construction management software is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of trades, sequencing and building codes, and a clean, safe job site.
- High school diploma or GED. PMP certification preferred.
- A valid driver's license and a driving record that keeps you insurable on a company vehicle.
Schedule
Full time, generally 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Restoration work does not always keep office hours, so the role includes some evenings, weekends and an on-call rotation for large loss and storm events.
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive salary, set based on experience (range shown in this posting).
- Take-home company vehicle.
- Health, dental and vision insurance.
- 401(k) with company participation.
- Paid time off starting at twelve days per year, increasing with tenure, plus eight paid holidays.
- The company pays for job-related certifications and continuing education where approved.
How to Apply
Apply through this posting, or send your resume to jointheteam@alwayshere2help.com with the position title in the subject line. We review every application and respond to candidates we would like to speak with.
