Perform quantity takeoffs and evaluate labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor pricing.
Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, architects, and clients.
Solicit and evaluate subcontractor bids, ensuring accurate scope coverage and competitive pricing.
Identify potential project risks, cost-saving opportunities, and alternative construction methods.
Collaborate with project managers, purchasing, accounting, and operations teams to ensure a smooth transition from estimating to execution.
Monitor construction costs, market trends, and historical pricing data.
Assist in mentoring and developing other estimating team members.

What We're Looking For

Experience with hard bids, design-build, and negotiated projects.
Strong understanding of commercial construction methods, materials, costs, and project delivery.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
Proficiency with estimating software and construction technology.
Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field preferred; equivalent industry experience will be considered.
For Nashville-based candidates: Established relationships and familiarity with the Nashville construction market are important.
