Serenity Sleep Products is seeking a dependable and motivated Tape Edge Machine Operator to join our mattress manufacturing team. The Tape Edge Machine Operator is responsible for operating a tape edge sewing machine to finish mattresses by securely sewing the top and bottom panels to the mattress border. This position requires attention to detail, good hand-eye coordination, and the ability to maintain quality while working efficiently in a production environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate a tape edge sewing machine to sew and finish mattress edges.
• Guide and rotate mattresses during the sewing process to ensure a smooth, consistent finish.
• Inspect stitching, seams, tape, and finished mattresses for quality.
• Maintain consistent workmanship and meet company quality standards.
• Make minor machine adjustments as needed and report equipment problems to the appropriate supervisor.
• Keep the machine and surrounding work area clean and organized.
• Follow production schedules and work efficiently to meet daily production needs.
• Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturing guidelines.
• Work cooperatively with other production team members.
• Perform other related production duties as needed.

Qualifications:

• Previous tape edge machine experience is preferred, but we are willing to train a dependable candidate with industrial sewing or similar manufacturing experience.
• Industrial sewing or production/manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Ability to operate machinery safely and follow instructions.
• Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
• Dependable attendance and ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive movements.
• Ability to maneuver and handle mattresses (with assistance as needed).
• Willingness to learn and maintain company quality standards.

Position Details:

• Job Type: Full-Time
• Location: Serenity Sleep Products - Haleyville, Alabama
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Hours may fluctuate at times based on production needs.
• Pay: Based on experience
