Who We Are:

As an innovation hub, Seraphic develops and scales root-cause solutions to positively impact human and planetary health. Our companies span the areas of health, energy, and ecology with many emergent projects in development. Founded by Dr. Zach Bush, we are committed to developing products and services that transform the world for better. Biomic Sciences, LLC is a subsidiary of the Seraphic Group and the manufacturer and seller of a revolutionary gut health supplement, ION*Intelligence of Nature (ION*). Sourced from 60-million-year-old soil, the ION* line of products naturally supports microbiome balance for your gut and skin. ION* Intelligence of Nature is dedicated to advancing human health through science-backed, nature-derived solutions. Our products are designed to support the body’s natural systems, starting with gut health as a foundation for overall wellness.

Position Summary:

The Web Developer will build, maintain, and continuously improve the ION* e-commerce website in support of the brand's growth and customer acquisition objectives. This role is primarily responsible for developing and updating Shopify landing pages, executing A/B tests, and identifying opportunities to improve the user experience and drive conversion across the digital storefront. The role also maintains theme code and site performance standards, and reports on test outcomes to inform future campaign and merchandising decisions. As a member of the Marketing team, the Web Developer works under the direction of the Brand Director and will also partner with IT to ensure security compliance measures.

Measures of Success:

Success as the Web Developer requires initiative, disciplined execution, and sound judgment about where to focus testing effort, demonstrated through landing pages shipped without defects, A/B tests completed and documented, and measurable gains in conversion rate and site performance. This can be observed by the Brand Director through site analytics, test records, and the reliability of campaign launch execution.

Responsibilities:

Website Development and Maintenance (Primary Focus)

  • Build, update, and maintain landing pages within the Shopify storefront in support of product launches, campaigns, and seasonal promotions.
  • Develop and maintain theme code (Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to ensure the site remains stable, responsive, and consistent with brand standards.
  • Configure and manage Shopify functionality as required, including metafields, product and collection structures, navigation, and third-party applications.
  • Monitor site performance, mobile usability, and Core Web Vitals; identify and resolve issues affecting load speed or checkout completion.
  • Review the installed application stack and recommend consolidation or removal where tools duplicate function or degrade site performance.
  • Coordinate with external agency and platform partners on matters outside in-house capability, including SEO, hosting, and application support.
  • Test all changes in a staging environment prior to publication and verify functionality following each release.

Conversion Optimization and Testing

  • Identify opportunities to improve user experience and increase conversion through analysis of funnel behavior, session recordings, and customer feedback.
  • Define testing hypotheses, prioritize them against expected impact and effort, and maintain a documented testing roadmap.
  • Build and implement A/B and multivariate tests end to end, including variant development, audience configuration, and quality assurance.
  • Ensure tests are statistically valid, properly scoped, and free of conflicting instrumentation.
  • Interpret results and translate findings into recommendations for page structure, copy, merchandising, and checkout flow.
  • Partner with design and content colleagues on page layout, product storytelling, and creative assets required for testing.

Analytics, Reporting, and Documentation

  • Maintain analytics and tag management implementation in GA4 or an equivalent platform, ensuring events, conversions, and e-commerce tracking remain accurate as the site changes.
  • Produce regular reporting on site performance, test outcomes, and conversion trends for the Brand Director and Marketing team.
  • Maintain documentation of site architecture, test history, and configuration changes so that work is reproducible and transferable.
  • Present findings in plain language to colleagues without technical backgrounds.

Marketing Collaboration and Campaign Support

  • Participate in marketing planning to advise on feasibility, timeline, and technical requirements for upcoming campaigns.
  • Support campaign launches as needed, including promotional page builds, discount configuration, and landing destinations for email and paid media.
  • Coordinate with the Operations and Production teams to keep product availability, inventory messaging, and site content aligned.
  • Support business continuity by responding to urgent site issues, including after-hours escalation when a customer-facing function is affected.
  • Maintain awareness of Shopify platform updates and emerging e-commerce tools, recommending adoption where relevant.
