Lead Pressman - Wood Dale, IL area

Job Duties:

Prepare, calibrate, and operate multi-color printing presses and auxiliary equipment according to job orders\ Monitor print runs to ensure color consistency, correct registration, and alignment using tools PMS (Pantone Matching System)\ Direct, train, and mentor assistant pressmen, feeder operators, and crew members to build an efficient team workflow\ Diagnose mechanical issues, clear jams, perform routine maintenance, and replace worn components like blankets or plates\ Review specifications, track daily shift results, manage inventory of inks/substrates, and complete production logs\ 3 to 5+ years of hands-on experience operating sheet-fed printing presses\ Strong mechanical aptitude, color matching expertise, and ability to read precise measurements\ Proven ability to manage a small crew, communicate across departments, and solve problems quickly under tight deadlines\ Ability to stand for long shifts, walk, and lift heavy materials (50 lbs)\ Experience with Heidelberg or Komori offset presses\ UV ink printing experience

Position Summary\ Shift: 1st shift

Pay: \$25\$32/hour
