Join the Team That Keeps Southeast Colorado Connected
SECOM is looking for a part-time Customer Experience Representative to be the friendly voice and face of our company. In this role, you'll help customers with questions about their internet, phone, and other communication services while delivering the outstanding service that sets SECOM apart.
Most customer interactions take place over the phone, but you'll also welcome and assist customers who visit our office in person. Every day brings something different, from helping a customer understand their bill to assisting someone with new service options or troubleshooting concerns.
If you enjoy helping people, learning new technology, and working in a fast-paced environment, we'd love to hear from you.
No Experience? No Problem.
Customer service experience is helpful, but it's not required.
We're looking for someone with a positive attitude, strong computer skills, and a willingness to learn. We provide comprehensive training and will teach you everything you need to know about SECOM's products and services.
Why SECOM?
At SECOM, we're more than an internet provider. We connect families, businesses, schools, and communities throughout southeast Colorado using our advanced fiber and wireless networks.
As a locally owned and operated company, we take pride in serving our neighbors and helping our communities grow. Our employees play a direct role in delivering the reliable communication services people depend on every day.
What We Offer
We believe great employees deserve great benefits, including: ability to participate in the 401(k) plan; pro-rated vacation, sick, paid holidays, parental leave, and bereavement leave.
This position is currently being offered on a part-time basis, working approximately 15-20 hours per week. Applicants can expect to be scheduled Monday through Thursday. This position is represented by a union. Employees are required to join the union and pay applicable dues.
As we continue to evaluate our staffing needs, we expect to revisit this position in the new year. Depending on business needs and organizational growth, there may be an opportunity for additional hours or a transition to a full-time role in the future. While future changes cannot be guaranteed, we want applicants to be aware of the potential as they consider this opportunity.
What You'll Do
- Assist customers by phone, email, and in person
- Answer questions about services, accounts, billing, and policies
- Resolve customer concerns with professionalism and empathy
- Accurately enter and maintain customer information
- Work closely with other departments to support customer needs
- Use computer systems and software to research and resolve issues
What We're Looking For
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities
- Comfortable using computers, Microsoft Office, and web-based applications
- Ability to type accurately and efficiently
- 10-key by touch
- Ability to work independently while remaining a strong team member
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Valid Colorado driver's license
Ready to Apply?
If you're looking for a stable career with outstanding benefits, a supportive team environment, and the opportunity to make a difference in the communities we serve, we'd love to hear from you.
Please review the complete job description before applying.
Once you apply, be sure to monitor your email regularly. Much of our communication throughout the hiring process will be sent through our applicant tracking system.
Come join SECOM and help keep southeast Colorado connected.

Employment with SECOM is contingent upon your successful completion of pre‑employment screening following a conditional offer of employment. Such screening may include background checks and drug/alcohol testing, conducted in compliance with applicable federal and Colorado law. Any required background check will be performed only with your written authorization and in accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Applicants will be provided appropriate notices if information obtained from a report may affect employment eligibility.
