Maintenance Technician – Seatex

Rosenberg, TX | Full-time | Hourly, overtime eligible

Seatex is hiring a Maintenance Technician to keep our chemical blending, packaging, and plant utility equipment running safely and reliably. You’ll work alongside Production, EHS, and Quality to reduce downtime and help us deliver quality products on time.

What you’ll do

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on tanks, agitators, pumps, valves, conveyors, and filling and packaging lines.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical (up to 480V), pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Maintain boilers, chillers, compressors, and other plant utilities.
• Weld, fabricate, and pipefit for repairs and projects.
• Follow lockout/tagout, confined space, hot work, and other safety procedures.
• Log work orders and parts in the maintenance software (CMMS).
• Take part in the on-call rotation.

What you bring

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience, ideally in chemical or process manufacturing.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and P&IDs.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and a safety-first mindset.
• Availability for overtime and weekends as needed.
• Nice to have: PLC/VFD experience, welding certification, OSHA 10/30, forklift certification.

Physical requirements

• Lift up to 50 lbs, and stand, climb, kneel, and crawl for extended periods.
• Work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Work in a plant setting with noise, chemicals, and Texas heat and humidity.
• Wear required PPE, and pass a respirator medical evaluation and fit test.
