Software Engineer in Test

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Participate in the design, implementation, and maintenance of software test systems.
• Prepare and maintain automated functional tests of software defined networks.
• Mentor Associate Engineers and Technicians.
• Follow and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.

Required Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
• Typically 2+ years experience in one or more of the following areas:
• Object oriented design
• Object oriented languages (C#)
• Scripting languages (Python)
• DevOps or CI/CD
• Automated testing
• Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills
• Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
• Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Modern communications protocols
• Ethernet networking
• Software-defined networking
• OT systems
• Windows and Linux development experience
• C/C++
• JavaScript/TypeScript/React
• Project management

Pay Range Data Associate Software Engineer: $82,000 - $122,900 Software Engineer: $89,400 - $134,100 Lead Software Engineer: $107,600 - $161,500 We are open to reviewing additional candidates with more or less experience and the pay range may differ if filled at a different level. Our pay ranges are determined by job and responsibility. We base our starting pay offer and title on job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills
