Why SBS
We're a premier cybersecurity firm headquartered in Madison, SD, with a people-first, collaborative culture that is present every day, even when you’re fully remote. You'll be part of a small, tight-knit development team working on projects that have a real, visible impact for the organizations that trust us.
What You'll Do
As Team Lead, you'll be a technical leader others look to - someone accountable for getting large projects, primarily for GRC web applications, across the finish line, on time and on budget, without losing sight of the people doing the work.
- Lead and mentor a team of developers through the full project lifecycle, from a rough idea to something live and working.
- Help design and build new features in an Agile environment - you'll stay hands-on both working on the code yourself as well as guiding team members to build better solutions.
- Own code quality: set the bar on coding standards and quality assurance and hold the team to it with care.
- Partner closely with other teams, stakeholders, and clients to make sure what gets built solves the right problem.
- Keep the team sharp - run and participate in training, share what you're learning, and stay current on industry trends.
- Dig into hard technical problems and bring the team creative, workable solutions.
- Manage team resources and workload so people are set up to do their best work.
- Take part in hiring - help us find the next people who'll make this team better.
- Lead the team in utilizing AI solutions for efficient and effective coding practices.
- Set clear short- and long-term goals for the team, and make sure everyone understands not just what we're building, but why.
- Give real feedback through performance reviews and invest in your team's growth - their development is part of your job.
