Assembler- Flo

JOB DESCRIPTION:

This job requires the assembly of parts and use of various hand and power tools. This candidate must be able to follow instructions from supervisors and various other team leaders and co-workers, work at an acceptable pace and keep pace with work demands while assembling a quality product. This person must also be able to read a tape measure proficiently & is responsible for making sure assembly meets company standards to ensure the promised ship dates are met. This position must use knowledge of past projects to problem solve issues, assist others in problem solving, and train new employees to be proficient in their respective positions. Effective communication with employees, supervisors, while properly adhering to Company policies and complying with required standards for work orders and labor laws within the department on a continual basis from one project to the next and one employee to the next.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Include but not limited to:

• Assembles units to meet our QC standards
• Work at a safe and productive pace while keeping pace with work demands
• Follow instructions when provided in written and verbal form
• Read and measure lengths, cuts, and quality of products down to 1/16th of an inch
• Work by a priority list
• Follow safety rules
• Complete all paperwork relating to the jobs being produced and assembled
• Ability to use hand and power tools with proficiency
• Prioritize work based on direction from the supervisor and team leader’s direction
• Work overtime when necessary/required and with short notice
• Work in all weather conditions as job requires working inside and outside through the course of a single shift
• Work in the natural element of heat and cold (production facility is not heated in winter nor cooled in summer)
• Other duties as assigned by management

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work scheduled shifts
• Ability to bend, stoop, sit, grasp with hands, feel texture with fingers, cling, walk, twist, stand, and work on concrete for up to twelve hours per day up to six (6) days per week
• Must be able to work at heights of greater than 6 feet on a regular basis/as work dictates
• Ability to work overtime when necessary/required and with short notice
• Ability to work in all weather conditions as job requires working inside and outside through the course of a single shift
• Ability to work in the natural element of heat and cold (production facility is not heated in winter nor cooled in summer)

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

• Proficient with the use of hand and power tools
• Efficiently and accurately read job file orders and enter data into the tracking system
• Punctual
• Effectively follow directions
• Accurately read a tape measure down to 1/16th of an inch
• Effectively work from the supervisor and team leader’s direction
• Organize and keep up with all paperwork related to the jobs worked on coming through the system

Qualifications

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

• Must be familiar with and proficient with the use of hand and power tools
• Must be able to read job file orders and enter data efficiently into the tracking system
• Must be able to read a tape measure down to 1/16th of an inch

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs unassisted
• Ability to work in the natural element of heat and cold (production facility is not heated in winter nor cooled in summer)
• Ability to work a 1st shift schedule and overtime with short notice
• Ability to bend, stoop, sit, grasp with hands, feel texture with fingers, cling, walk, twist, stand, and work on concrete for up to twelve hours per day up to six (6) days per week
• Ability to work inside of the plant facility as well as outside of the facility as work load dictates
• Must be able to work at heights of greater than 6 feet on a regular basis/as work dictates
