It also means that each member of our team has truly limitless potential to build a unique, meaningful, and high-impact career - and they’ll receive great total rewards along the way.

About Us

Founded in 1975, Salas O’Brien is an employee-owned engineering and professional services firm focused on achieving impact for our clients, our team, and the world. We know that tomorrow’s requirements are today’s opportunities, and we are here to design lasting solutions for pressing challenges.

We work across a variety of industries providing integrated engineering and consulting services. Our specialized experience includes design for data centers, healthcare, science and technology, high-rise buildings, clean energy, education, and other building types as well as structural and building sciences, infrastructure asset management, advanced robotics, and more.

Our technical expertise is paired with an exceptional team of business professionals across human resources, finance, IT, marketing, and operations, all of whom play a key role in bringing our commitments to life every day.

Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements, align on candidate profiles, and support interview processes
Provide market insights including talent availability, compensation trends, and hiring recommendations
Manage candidates through the full recruiting lifecycle (sourcing through offer)
Ensure a positive candidate experience through consistent communication and follow-up
Track recruiting activity and pipeline metrics; adjust strategies to improve results
Maintain accurate records and compliance within the applicant tracking system (ATS)

Qualifications and Experience

4+ years of recruiting experience, with a focus on corporate or functional roles (HR, Finance, IT, Marketing, etc.) and/or exposure to BIM or design-related hiring
Experience using recruiting tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter, Handshake, Indeed, or similar platforms
Experience working in a matrixed organization with multiple stakeholders
Strong sourcing skills and ability to engage passive candidates
Ability to understand both business function and specialized role requirements (including BIM/design) and translate them into effective recruiting strategies
Experience partnering with hiring managers and advising on recruiting approaches
Strong communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Travel

Minimal travel may be required based on business needs.
