Original job description

As Partner Enablement Business Lead, you will work at the heart of Sage's partner business, helping partners build the capability they need to grow and succeed. Working closely with Partner Sales leaders, channel owners and an assigned portfolio of partners, you will turn business priorities and partner needs into focused enablement plans that drive partner productivity and growth.

You will be highly engaged with partners day to day - building strong relationships, listening to their challenges and understanding what is getting in the way of progress. When support is needed, you will be able to quickly diagnose the issue, determine what is needed and mobilize the right Sage expertise, tools and resources to move them forward. You will own the enablement plan end to end, bringing together the right product, technical, marketing, program and enablement specialists while remaining actively involved throughout. You will set clear expectations, coordinate activity, maintain momentum and hold both Sage and partner stakeholders accountable for delivering agreed actions and outcomes.

This is a hands-on role. Where it will make a difference, you will lead workshops, facilitate working sessions, support partner activities and represent Sage in partner meetings and events. Your role is not simply to connect partners to resources, but to make sure the right support comes together and translates into meaningful progress.

This is a hybrid opportunity, three days per week onsite in on our the Sage offices.

  • Act as the primary Partner Enablement point person for assigned sales leaders, channel owners, and partner portfolios, building a strong understanding of their commercial priorities, partner landscape, and growth ambitions.
  • Build trusted, practical relationships with partner leaders and practitioners; act as a responsive first point of contact for partner capability, readiness, and enablement needs.
  • Work directly with partners to understand challenges, diagnose what is getting in the way of growth or delivery, and agree the most effective path forward.
  • Assess partner capability, readiness, fit, and performance to identify the most important gaps and opportunities across onboarding, selling, product knowledge, technical readiness, and ongoing development.
  • Turn business priorities and partner insight into clear enablement plans with defined objectives, target audiences, actions, owners, milestones, and measures of success.
  • Coordinate with the internal colleague enablement team and cross-functional stakeholders on a shared plan, deploying the right sales, product, marketing, technical, and program specialists with clear priorities, ownership, communications, milestones, and commitments.
  • Stay close to execution, coordinating activity across Sage and partner teams, resolving dependencies, escalating risks, and holding all parties accountable for agreed commitments.
  • Lead selected partner workshops, business reviews, training sessions, and hands-on activities within partner organizations where direct involvement will accelerate capability, confidence, or performance.
  • Communicate Sage’s strategy, product innovation, enablement offers, and available support through partner briefings, community forums, conferences, and sales-led partner events.
  • Monitor progress and partner performance using agreed KPIs, feedback, and stakeholder input; use the insight to demonstrate impact, identify barriers, and continuously improve the plan.

Skills, know-how and experience:

  • 5+ years in partner enablement, channel sales, partner management, or SaaS commercial roles
  • Experience working directly with partners and sales leaders
  • Strong cross-functional project and stakeholder management skills
  • Commercial mindset with a focus on partner growth and performance
