School Bus Driver

Job Summary Under the direction, guidance and supervision of the Transportation Supervisor, the School Bus Driver will transport students, including those designated as Special Needs Students, safely from designated bus/van stops, field trips and other sites as approved by Sacramento Valley Charter School administration and the Transportation Supervisor. The employee in this position may drive a School Bus or a School Van. Requirements / Qualifications

1. Letter of Introduction

3. Copy of High School Diploma
4. Two Letters of Reference

BE ABLE TO COMPLETE AND PASS THE FOLLOWING:

1. California School Bus Driver Training Program
2. 20-Hour minimum classroom training course for school bus drivers
3. 20-Hour minimum Behind-the-Wheel Training
4. Pass a Drive Test with the California Highway Patrol

DMV REQUIREMENTS:

1. Pass Class C, B, Air Brakes, & Passenger Endorsement
2. Pass General Knowledge Written Exams

CALIFORNIA HIGHWAY PATROL REQUIRMENTS:

1. Pass Rules & Regulations Written Exam
2. Pass First Aid Written Exam
3. Pass Drive Test with the California Highway Patrol
4. DL-51: Pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) Physical Exam to Drive a Commercial Vehicle Comments and Other Information
