Responsibilities
The PAE(A) Capability Acquisition Department advances program execution by developing a data and modeling continuum across disciplines and the lifecycle; including methods, standards, and capability acquisition lifecycle strategies. This Department equips programs with integrated environments that enable dynamic program health status and management, synchronized technical management, continuous assessment, and drives rapid software delivery via open architectures and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) to outpace evolving threats. Further, this Department designs flexible contractual structures for the on-time delivery of certifiable, mission-capable systems and builds a shared digital ecosystem to ensure secure, data-driven collaboration between government and industry partners.
The Capability Acquisition Department requires Senior Engineering expertise to provide direct support to guide execution of Major Upgrade and Born Digital Acquisition Full Lifecycle Strategies.
The Senior Engineer serves as a technical leader responsible for applying advanced engineering principles and systems engineering expertise to support the acquisition, development, integration, testing, and sustainment of military weapons systems and associated support systems. The individual will work with minimal supervision, lead complex technical efforts, and provide strategic engineering guidance across the acquisition lifecycle.

- Support acquisition planning, resource management, and technical management functions.
- Analyze, design, develop, implement, test, and evaluate software, software components, and systems supporting military weapons systems and related mission capabilities.
- Collaborate with government, industry, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure technical objectives align with acquisition and program goals.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship while driving engineering excellence and program execution.
- Support implementation of digital engineering, model-based approaches, open architecture principles, and CI/CD-enabled development environments.
- Assist in developing solutions that promote secure, data-driven collaboration across government and industry partners.
