Software Engineer (Java Spring Boot/Python) (SAB-2611-02)

Join a product team of software developers, systems engineers, testers, and DevOps staff to design, develop, integrate, and maintain an enterprise software product. You will give hands-on engineering support across the full software development life cycle, from development and integration through deployment and sustainment. What you will do: - Develop and enhance enterprise software using Java (Spring Boot), Python, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL databases - Support product installations and deployments for government customers - Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues - Take part in code reviews and work closely with testers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements - Write and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, process flows, deployment procedures, and training materials Required qualifications: - Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph (U.S. citizenship required). - Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field, plus 5 years of software engineering experience. Without a degree, 9 years of software engineering experience. - At least 2 years of that experience in the SIGINT, information assurance, or IT domains. Preferred qualifications: - Strong Java (Spring Boot), Python, and scripting skills - PostgreSQL and MongoDB, ideally including database optimization - Docker packaging, development, and orchestration - Some experience with AI tools or using large language models for coding help; building retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) applications is a plus - Front-end frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue Location: Fully on-site at a government or contractor facility in the Fort Meade, MD area. No telework. Schedule: Full-time, W-2 Sabre Engineering employee. 40 hours a week, normal day shift. Salary range: $120,000 to $150,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
