Original job description
We are seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to join our team at Roomi Group Corporation.
Responsibilities:
- Review project plans, specifications, and client communication to determine project scope and requirements.
- Utilize estimating software and tools to create take-offs and proposals based on company SOPs and protocols.
- Identify potential risks and challenges that may impact project costs and schedules.
- Respond to client requests for breakouts, SOVs, VE’s, pricing adjustments, escalations, and other scenarios.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree – preferably in construction management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5 years verifiable experience as an Estimator and/or reading construction blueprints on a daily basis.
- Very strong proficiency in reading blueprints.
- Very strong proficiency in using software – estimating software, Excel, Word and PDF readers.
- Detailed, organized, and precise.
- Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders.
