  • Build, modify, and maintain engineering test racks, fixtures, and prototype electronics hardware.
  • Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, and work instructions.
  • Ensure all electrical assemblies meet engineering specifications and quality standards.

Integration & Test Support

  • Support integration and test activities for prototype electronics, controllers, and instrumentation.
  • Operate and maintain electronics test equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, logic analyzers, multimeters, and signal generators.
  • Assist engineers with debugging and troubleshooting during system testing.
  • Document test setups, configurations, and results as required.

Electronics Lab Setup & Administration

  • Assist in establishing a new electronics lab, including layout planning, equipment setup, and workflow organization.
  • Maintain lab cleanliness, organization, and readiness for engineering activities.
  • Inventory and track lab equipment, manage assets, and oversee calibration schedules.
  • Develop and maintain safety processes, lab procedures, and best practices to ensure personnel safety and compliance.
  • Perform general lab maintenance including tool control, equipment upkeep, calibration management, and consumables replenishment.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Electronics Technology or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in soldering for circuit card assembly, including fine-pitch surface-mount and through‑hole components.
  • Experience with harness fabrication, cable assembly, and construction of test racks or fixtures.
  • Familiarity with electronics test equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, logic analyzers, and multimeters.
  • Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently.
  • Ability to lift and manipulate lab equipment, tools, and test fixtures as needed.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience establishing or managing engineering labs or technical workspaces.
  • Knowledge of ESD control, safe electronics handling, and industry-standard safety practices.
  • Experience working in aerospace, defense, or other regulated engineering environments.
  • Experience developing or maintaining lab procedures, inventory systems, or calibration programs.
  • Certification to IPC/WHMA-A-620 and IPC J-STD-001
