Original job description
We are looking for a Full Stack Web Developer with extensive WordPress and PHP experience to join a digital team on a long-term contract assignment. Must have a digital portfolio. This opportunity is best suited for a mid-level candidate who enjoys building engaging user-facing experiences while also contributing to server-side functionality and integrations. The role combines front-end and back-end work, with a stronger emphasis on interface development, and offers the chance to partner closely with designers and technical stakeholders from concept through launch.
Responsibilities:
- Build modern website interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and WordPress development best practices.
- Create responsive page layouts and interactive features that perform well across devices and browsers.
- Contribute to back-end web functionality, including application logic, integrations, and content-driven features.
- Develop and support APIs that connect website experiences with underlying systems and services.
- Maintain website performance, stability, and data flow by assisting with server-side and database-related tasks.
- Partner with designers and digital team members to translate visual concepts into effective web experiences.
- Manage assigned work through the full development lifecycle, from early planning and technical approach to deployment.
- Explore practical uses of emerging technologies, including AI-related ideas, to enhance digital solutions.
- 5+ years of web development experience in front-end and back-end environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and WordPress development.
- Working knowledge of ASP.NET and the ability to support server-side web application functionality.
- Experience building or integrating APIs for web-based applications.
- Proven ability to create responsive, mobile-friendly websites and components.
- Comfortable working in a role that balances primarily front-end responsibilities with additional back-end development.
- Portfolio of completed work that clearly demonstrates technical contributions and project complexity.
