Original job description
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Technical Program Manager (TPM) to lead a large-scale teller platform transformation initiative. This is not a project coordinator or traditional PM role. The ideal candidate will own the program from strategy through execution, driving migration efforts as the organization transitions away from its legacy FIS Teller platform to ARGO Teller. This project is just getting under way. This individual will partner closely with Product Owners, Engineering teams, Enterprise Platforms leadership, and business stakeholders to define the roadmap, identify risks, drive technical decisions, and ensure successful delivery through 2027.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end delivery of a multi-year teller platform modernization and migration program.
- Build the program structure, roadmap, governance model, and execution strategy from the ground up.
- Partner with Product Owners, Engineering Leaders, Architects, and Business stakeholders to define requirements and implementation plans.
- Lead migration and cutover planning from the current FIS Teller environment to the future-state platform.
- Drive application deployment strategy, environment management, release planning, and implementation activities.
- Anticipate technical and operational risks, develop mitigation plans, and proactively drive issue resolution.
- Present recommendations, solution options, and execution strategies to leadership teams.
- Coordinate across development, infrastructure, DevOps, QA, operations, and vendor teams to ensure successful delivery.
- Maintain complete ownership of schedule, dependencies, risks, and program outcomes.
- Establish and manage SDLC governance, delivery processes, and program reporting.
- 10+ years of Technical Program Management or Engineering Program Management experience.
- Proven experience leading large-scale banking, financial services, or teller platform transformation programs.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC), release management, and enterprise application delivery.
- Experience leading platform migrations, conversions, cutovers, and large-scale technology modernization initiatives.
- Ability to engage deeply with engineering teams and understand technical challenges, dependencies, and DevOps processes.
- Experience driving initiatives from concept through production deployment.
- Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to develop solutions rather than simply track project plans.
