Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead strategic initiatives within its Teller Technology organization. This individual will play a critical role in planning, coordinating, and delivering complex banking application projects, with a primary focus on teller platform modernization, enhancements, integrations, deployments, and operational improvements. The ideal candidate is an elite project delivery professional who has successfully managed enterprise banking technology initiatives from inception through implementation. While experience with the Argo Teller Platform is highly preferred, candidates with strong experience supporting other teller systems within financial institutions will be considered.
This role requires a blend of technical acumen, project leadership, stakeholder management, and banking domain expertise. The selected candidate will be expected to build project plans from the ground up, establish governance, coordinate cross-functional teams, manage vendor relationships, and drive successful delivery across multiple workstreams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of teller platform and banking application initiatives.
- Build comprehensive project plans, timelines, roadmaps, dependencies, and resource strategies from the ground up.
- Coordinate efforts across technology, operations, infrastructure, information security, vendors, and business stakeholders.
- Manage application deployments, software releases, system upgrades, platform migrations, integrations, and process improvement initiatives.
- Drive project governance, risk management, issue resolution, status reporting, and executive-level communications.
- Facilitate requirements gathering, scope definition, project budgeting, and delivery planning.
- Ensure alignment between technical teams and business objectives throughout the project lifecycle.
- Oversee vendor relationships and third-party technology partners supporting teller and banking platforms.
- Manage testing, deployment readiness, implementation planning, and post-production support activities.
- Identify and mitigate project risks while maintaining delivery schedules and business commitments.
- Lead project meetings, steering committees, and stakeholder reviews.
- Support regulatory, audit, compliance, and operational requirements associated with banking technology initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of Project Management experience leading complex technology initiatives.
- 5+ years managing projects within banking, financial services, or credit union environments.
- Hands-on experience supporting or implementing teller platforms and teller-related banking applications.
- Strong understanding of banking operations, branch technology, teller workflows, and customer transaction systems.
- Experience managing enterprise application deployments and technology implementations.
- Proven ability to develop project plans, schedules, resource models, risk frameworks, and governance structures from scratch.
- Experience working directly with software development, infrastructure, and application support teams.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid project delivery methodologies.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
- Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with the Argo Teller Platform.
- Experience with Fiserv, Jack Henry, FIS, NCR, Finastra, or other core banking and branch technology ecosystems.
- Knowledge of banking application integrations, APIs, middleware, and application deployment processes.
- PMP, PgMP, Scrum Master, or equivalent project management certifications.
- Experience leading large-scale banking platform upgrades, conversions, or modernization initiatives.
*Please note: This is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite/week in Smryna/Vinings. Please don't apply to this posting if you're not already local to metro Atlanta and willing to work a hybrid schedule.
