Tax Accountant

We are looking for an experienced Tax Accountant to support corporate entities and business owners with accurate, timely tax services in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. This position is well suited for someone who is detail oriented and can manage tax preparation work while also contributing bookkeeping support outside of peak filing periods. The ideal candidate brings strong technical knowledge, sound judgment, and a consistent commitment to detail and client service.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review tax filings for corporations, business owners, and individual clients with a high degree of accuracy.
• Analyze financial records and supporting documents to ensure tax returns are complete, compliant, and properly documented.
• Communicate with clients to gather missing information, clarify financial activity, and address tax-related questions.
• Provide bookkeeping assistance during the off-season, including maintaining organized and reliable financial records.
• Identify tax issues, research applicable rules, and apply appropriate solutions based on current regulations.
• Monitor deadlines and manage multiple engagements to deliver work on schedule during busy filing periods.
• At least 5 years of experience in tax preparation or public accounting.
• Strong background preparing tax returns for corporations, business owners, and individual taxpayers.
• Working knowledge of bookkeeping principles and the ability to support accounting tasks outside tax season.
• Solid understanding of tax compliance standards and relevant filing requirements.
• High attention to detail with the ability to review financial information carefully and accurately.
• Effective communication skills for working directly with clients and internal team members.
